San Diego...FINALLY!

While this was the second of the Cure shows I attended my ticket was from last October when the tour was postponed to complete the new album (which STILL isn't out)! The set-list didn't contain as many surprises as the Shrine show (as expected) but the crowd was absolutely out of control. The band really seemed to feed off the crowd and I hadn't seen Robert this "chatty" between songs in any other show I've attended. Best songs for me were "Shake Dog Shake", "The Blood", "Play for Today" & and a SMOKING version of "A Forest". My itinerary of driving home after the show, showering and speeding to LAX to catch a flight to Chicago on no sleep to get to HQ for meetings wasn't the most pleasurable experience and made me realize I'm not 20 anymore...no more ALL-NIGHTERS for me (well unless the Cure comes around again). Here's the set-list, enjoy and get well wishes to Jon Anderson who is struggling with acute respiratory failure at 62.
